Service Manager

Function:
Stage service work and parts for technicians so they can reasonable achieve their daily goals. Ensure all work orders are filled out with required information Follow-up on availability of parts ordered. Make sure each piece of equipment repaired has been inspected for other issues using appropriate maintenance inspection checklist for that equipment. Make sure customer has been notified if additional service items have been discovered and consent has been given to the service department to complete additional work. Oversee warranty claims making sure that 100% of labor and parts are recovered.

Responsibilities:
Monitor service technician goals to maintain an appropriate level of professional service.Oversee the appearance and organization of the service department and associated outside areas to communicate professionalism of the service technicians and commitment to the excellence of the dealership. Interact with customers to ensure a positive experience with the service department and the dealership.

Qualifications:
Five or more years of engine/equipment diagnosis and repair with a track record of success. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to work a normal 40 hours per week and longer hours as required to meet customer demands. Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs. plus work outdoors and indoors in all weather.

Parts Sales

Function:
Sells outdoor power equipment parts to customers walking or calling into the store.
Fills parts requests for the service techs and participates in rolling inventory checks. Greets customers in a friendly and timely manor. Response to requests for service and assistance. Follows all company and vendor policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Ascertains make, year, and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advises customer of part needed according to description of malfunction. Discusses use and features of various parts. Fills customer orders from stock. Prepares sales slip and receives payment. Receives and fills telephone orders for parts.

Qualifications:
A highly motivated person who has a great personality and enjoys helping others. Has a valid drivers license, can lift 50lbs and computer experience. Experience with agricultural equipment, outdoor power equipment and small engines would be helpful.
